Dear Patients, Families and Friends:
We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well in, what have been very
challenging times. We are delighted that Molloy Dental Practice has been operating with in the new Covid-19 environment since Mid May and our protocol is working very well.
Please take a moment to read this, as we share
some important information relating to your next visit. We are implementing some
changes, but we will endeavor to make this process as effortless as possible
1. Appointments
We know that many of you will be eager to come in as quickly as possible (and we
are eager to see you, as well), but we are going to order our scheduled
appointments by “urgency, This is a
short term measure to deal quickly with patients who are a priority because of
infection or pain.
The new patient journey and our internal hygiene protocols will temporarily limit
the number of patients we can see per day. Thus we ask you for your patience both before and at the time of your appointment.
2. Procedural Changes
There are some “procedural changes that you will notice at your next visit. All of
these changes will help us to protect our patients and adhere to the social
distancing protocols.
◦ If you have your own face mask and pen please bring them with you.
◦ When you arrive for your appointment you can either stay in your car once you have checked in or have a short stay in our waiting area.
◦ We will take your temperature and have you complete a short survey
to determine whether you are displaying any symptoms of Covid 19.
◦ You will then walk through our disinfection tunnel for approximately 20
seconds, where a light mist of HOCL will be dispensed (HOCL is used on
fruit and vegetables and is perfectly safe)
◦ We will ask you to wash your hands and then
replace your face mask.
◦ Anyone coming to the practice is asked to come alone unless you are
accompanying your child or someone who may need assistance
◦ You will then either go straight into see the dentist or wait briefly in the
waiting room where social distancing standards will apply.
◦ Our prior standards for sterilisation and cleanliness already exceeded the
standards set forth by the relevant authorities but we’re taking it up
another notch by continually disinfecting all common areas for your
additional safety
◦ Please don’t be alarmed by this added vigilance, we are simply being both
cautious and proactive for the safety of our patients and staff.
With these additional precautionary measures it might feel like a very different
experience, but rest assured that it is the same high standard of care that we will provide
and we are all the same people under all the PPE! (Personal Protective Equipment).
We are grateful for your support and cooperation as we get back up to speed in the
“new normal.” We are really looking forward to welcoming you back into the practice
and we hope you’ll be just as excited to see us : ). Should you have any questions we
have not answered above, please mail us and we will explain further.
Please see included below, a graphic of how the new journey will look.
Warm regards,
Molloy Dental Practice
At Molloy Dental Practice we want you to have the best dental experience possible.
Our entire ethos is designed to ensure that we offer and deliver the highest quality, patient-centred care you deserve.
We appreciate that a visit to the dentist may not be on the top of everyone’s wish list. We are very conscious of some people’s apprehension, by taking our time we endeavour to make it as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We also have intra-oral cameras on each of our chairs so that you will be able to see what we see, we find that takes the mystery out of your visit.
We offer all forms of dental care, from regular check-ups and cleaning to designing and creating a whole new beautiful smile.
Our practice combines the latest dental equipment and techniques whilst maintaining values of courtesy, customer service and trust. The practice has been on its current site at 222, Swords Road, Whitehall, Dublin 9 since the 1950s, the Molloy involvement starting in 1970 with Dr. Thomas Molloy followed by the present owners Drs. Conor and Robert Molloy in 1995.
Conor and Robert Molloy embarked upon a major refurbishment of the practice to transform it into the state of the art facility that you see today.
Why not find out what traditional care in a modern setting is all about?
50 years on and still a regular at Molloy Dental Practice, does that not say it all! Thank you Rita for your welcome and kindness, and Robert, you are a god-send, I appreciate your care and concern. I have a nice smile, my own teeth, awesome!

Recent Treatments 1. Repair to damaged tooth 2. General check-up and cleaning. Things I Like - I Cannot speak highly enough about the levels of friendless and service by all concerned, especially Dentist, Conor and Reception Staff. There is an ambience of hospitality and efficiency about the whole place and the waiting room is especially pleasing with TV, reading material and comfortable seating.

I was a patient of Robert Molloy for just over a year to correct crooked teeth top and bottom. I was 30 years old at the time when I finally decided to get braces, Robert talked me through all possible options. Removing teeth was something I really didn't want to do and Robert was able to accommodate me and still manage to get teeth fully aligned which was beyond my expectation. To say I am extremely happy with the final results is an understatement. In the past I would cover my mouth with my hand when speaking as I was so insecure about my smile, now I am camera happy! Dealing with Robert changed my whole view of dentist visits and I actually look forward to my scheduled scale and polish. Extremely professional and super friendly. Conor was able to accommodate my daughter over the Christmas period in an emergency with literally one hour's notice. Will never look for another dentist again. An easy 10 out of 10!

I have been coming to the Molloy Dental Practice for nearly 40 years, I came when Mr. Thomas Molloy was there. I have always been treated with the upmost care and I have always been satisfied with all my treatments. I would not go to any other dental practice. It's very important to be comfortable with your dentist. All my family have been with Conor and have the upmost respect for him and his dental practice. I don't think you could improve your practice in any way, you have thought of everything. Everyone is treated with 100%.
